In sales, visibility is very important to stay on your target markets radar. Networking is a great way to do that. And don’t only network at your local chamber of commerce (while I do recommend that highly). Network where your target market is networking. Join an organization or association related to your target market.

For instance, a mortgage broker can benefit greatly from joining the local Realtors Association. A sales pro in life insurance may benefit from joining the local restaurant owners association.
